About the Role

The Facility Manager is a salaried, exempt position with a 12-month work schedule. Salary will be set annually on a performance-based schedule. The Facility Manager will report to the school Director of Facilities.

Major Function
The Facility Manager performs administrative and supervisory work in the operational and business area of the organization. This includes budget, financial management and reporting, record keeping, purchasing, public relations, facilities, leadership and all other non-academic operations of the organization. He or she works to maintain the integrity of the organization, ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that resources are managed effectively.

The Facility Manager’s essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Responsibilities
● Supervise facilities department employees and custodial services completing custodial and maintenance tasks on campus.
● Oversees and conducts custodial work.
● Oversees and conducts maintenance work.
● Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC, irrigation and all other building systems.
● Verifies completion of work orders in CMMS.
● Serves as security as necessary.
● Serves as daily contact for outside facility contractors.
● Assist in the development of budget recommendations for the school.
● Scrutinizes facility wear and tear and makes recommendations as to facility improvement (i.e., carpet replacement, exterior and interior paint, turf).
● Prepares and processes facility use agreement forms using established school procedures.
● Manage security access system.
● Manage key control program.
● Coordinate appropriate facilities, set-up, and technical equipment for a variety of activities either for school or outside use as required.
● Track and communicate status of work orders, projects requests to requestors and other interested parties to ensure timely feedback and accountability.
● Oversee preventative maintenance program for all systems to ensure proper function, minimize system downtime.
● Coordinate and assist Facility Manager`s at partner campuses as needed.
● Any other duties as assigned.
● Conducts and reports on fire, lockdowns, emergency drills,SBTMT meetings.
● Coordinates and reports on health and safety inspections.
● Coordinates and reports on fire inspections.
● Coordinates and reports on all necessary system inspections.
● Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Computer Skills

● To perform this job successfully an individual must have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software.

● Be familiar with access control systems.

● Be familiar with security control systems.

● Be familiar with Building Automation Systems.

Minimum Qualifications

● 5 Years Facility Management experience or equivalent.

● Three years broad, varied and increasingly responsible experience with budgeting, computer information systems, and organizational procedures.

● School experience is desirable.

● Hands on experience with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot varying issues to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locking mechanisms, access controls.

Willing to continue to learn new systems, procedures & best practices in the field of building maintenance, security, and project management and leadership.

● Must have strong leadership skills, managing staff and engaging with students, teachers, parents and community.

About the Company

The schedule is: M-F 730 - 4, nights, weekends, on call as needed.

Salary: $45k - $60.5K
