Facilities Engineer Tier I

About the Role

Job overview: To provide great customer service while performing task requested by internal or external customers to keep operations running smoothly with little to no down time.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Adjust temperatures by provider preference for each ASC nightly for the next day.

· Adjust space temperatures as request are received.

· Back up to Facilities Engineer Tier II for all ACHA Inspections and Accreditation surveys

· Escort vendors conducting, Quarterly, semi annual and annual inspections for all Life Safety

· Point of contact for vendor repairs as needed during and after hours

· Work on-call weeks

· Monitor critical alarms, such as but not limited to: Emergency Generator, Chillers, Fire, And Security Alarms

· EPSS operation and maintenance: Complete weekly runs of all BG owned emergency generator, complete generator run logs and ensure all logs are uploaded to the shared drive.

· Electrical: Complete all requested minor electrical issues, forward major issues to electrical vendor.

· Plumbing: Complete all requested minor plumbing issues, forward major issues to plumbing vendor.

· HVAC: Monitor systems for proper operation, make temperature changes as requested, forward issues to HVAC vendor.

· Carpentry: Install trim and wall guard, Repair and replace doors, inspect fire and repair fire doors.

· Drywall installation and repair: Install drywall if needed, repair holes in drywall, Inspect and repair fire walls.

· Painting: Painting of any damaged walls, ceilings, door trim etc.

· Acoustical ceilings: Replace stained or damaged ceiling tiles, replaced damage grid when needed.

· Ensure all reports from inspections at ASC’s are filed on W-Drive, attached to work order and emailed to ASC Administrator

Requirements

Qualifications:

· Education: High School or GED

· Experience: Trade school or on the job training of at least 5 years

· Specific Skills: Interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, ability to use Microsoft office and work order software, ability to use hand and power tools.

· Personal characteristics: Problem solver, ability to work under pressure, ability to work alone and in a team environment. Ability to remain respectful to others no matter the situation.

· Certifications: Any related trade certification, NFPA and OSHA certifications

· Licenses: Driver’s license, any related trade license

· Physical abilities: Ability to lift 50-100 pounds, ability to see and hear within normal parameters, ability to sit stand squat for extended periods, ability to work in high or low temperatures and in any weather conditions.
